Overview

La focaccina di Serafina is a charming pizza restaurant nestled in the heart of Rome, located on Via di Sant'Andrea delle Fratte. This spot stands out for its authentic focus on pizza al taglio, the classic Roman style of pizza by the slice, which offers a diverse and flavorful experience perfectly suited for both locals and travelers seeking a quick yet satisfying bite.

The menu shines with specialties like the Pizza Con Le Patate, a delightful creation that balances tender potatoes with crisp dough, and a remarkable selection of pizza slices with diverse toppings ranging from traditional to inventive. Customers frequently highlight the generous portions and the delicate balance of crust, sauce, and fresh ingredients, ensuring each slice is a masterpiece of texture and taste.

The intimate space is designed for efficiency and flavor rather than lingering. With limited seating, it's ideal for those who appreciate eating on-the-go or standing while enjoying their pizza. This setup complements the lively Roman pace, allowing patrons to indulge in vibrant flavors without delay. The staff bring warmth and attentiveness, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Their thoughtful attention to dietary needs—especially catering to vegetarian and halal-conscious diners—makes this a particularly inclusive destination. For example, they are mindful about halal practices, even offering to change utensils for those needing reassurance.

The experience is enhanced by watching the pizzas being freshly baked and crisped in view, adding an element of transparency and connection to traditional preparation methods. This immediacy captures the essence of Roman street food culture, where quality and speed blend seamlessly.

Ideal for anyone craving a delicious, freshly-made pizza slice with a variety of topping options, La focaccina di Serafina is a go-to for casual diners looking for authentic Roman flavors. Whether you prefer a simple cheese-free slice, a hearty sausage pizza, or a vegetable-packed option, this pizzeria delivers consistent quality and taste. Its location in central Rome makes it a convenient stop during a day of sightseeing or a quick evening snack, though note that it closes earlier than some might expect.

Overall, La focaccina di Serafina impresses for its sincere commitment to traditional Roman pizza by the slice, friendly service, and respect for diverse dietary preferences—all wrapped into a brisk, flavorful dining experience that leaves visitors eager to return.

The best taste I had in Rome for a quick bite. I tried to come back multiple times in the evenings but the shop closes early. I advise trying small pieces of multiple types because each bite tastes different! The two ladies were so friendly, next time I travel to Rome, I will not forget to pass by the resturant and refresh my memory about their great taste. They have multiple vegetarian options so it is a very convenient resturant for Halal food. Ask the workers there about the ingredients if you need more details

I loved the pizza here, it deserves 5/5 stars for sure. There was a line up but it went by quickly, surely when there is a line up for a pizzeria then it’s a good sign. I ordered a mushroom and sausage pizza and it was so crisp and delicious. It was really tasty and had good flavours. They have such a large variety that you can’t go wrong with any of the choices. Would recommend the sausage pizza though in any case. Staff are very friendly and the pizzas are cooked infront of you to crispen up. Will come back again.

If you're in the mood for a delicious slice of pizza, I highly recommend checking out this fantastic pizza joint. From the moment you walk in the door, you'll be greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of freshly baked pizza. The selection of pizza slices available here is truly impressive, with a wide variety of toppings to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for a classic pepperoni slice, or something a bit more exotic like a buffalo chicken slice, you're sure to find something that hits the spot. The pizza slices themselves are perfectly cooked, with a crispy crust and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The toppings are always fresh and plentiful, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. Plus, the slices are generously sized, so you'll definitely get your money's worth. The staff here are friendly and helpful, always willing to make recommendations or answer any questions you might have. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with plenty of seating available for enjoying your slice in-house.

I chose a cheese-free pizza here because I wasn’t sure if the cheese rennet was halal. Before serving, the staff kindly asked me if I wanted her to change the knife she used to cut the pizza slices. As someone who is careful about halal requirements, I really appreciated this attention to detail. For Muslims with halal concerns, I definitely recommend this place. There’s no seating area, you eat quickly while standing, but the pizza was still delicious. Even with just tomato and dough, the taste was amazing.

First Pizza in Italy. Walked pass this shop and went in to grab a slice. They sold the pizza by weight, so you could ask for as big/small as you want. We didn't know what to choose. Picked a simple one and tasted pretty good.

Very very delicious and good pizza , fresh material. This is my fourth visit of Rome, I try to test many Pizzas but this Pizzeria was the best one. They have some deals also in some hours. Unfortunately they dont have wc or any place to washing your hand also. There are some little table to stand eating.

Typical small Italian eat out place with lovely stuff and always fresh selection, and the prices are acceptable. One thing to mention when you visit this place is there are no seating options only 4-5 standing tables, but for me it was no problem at all. 10/10 keep up the good work
